Low-Cost Insurance Programs

New York State is committed to protecting and promoting the health of New Yorkers through prevention, science and the assurance of quality health care delivery. Most New Yorkers are familiar with Medicaid, a program designed to aid those who cannot afford to pay for medical care and those made poor by increasing health costs. In the past 40 years, Medicaid has undergone many additions and transformations. The Medicaid program is now only one part of several Public Health Insurance Programs available to help individuals and families access health care. Below is a list of New York State Public Health Insurance Programs offered in Onondaga County. Please note that the application process for most of these programs is the same. If you are unsure which program you would like to apply for, click on "Community Medicaid" and contact one of the four Facilitated Enrollers.
